As North America's only freshwater pearl-culturing farm, the Tennessee River Freshwater Pearl Farm produces what is known as Tennessee's state gem. The farm offers a variety of tours that may include the history of freshwater pearls, a pearl dive, a farm tour, a lunch and more. Visitors also enjoy touring the museum and the gift shop. The farm is located 9 mi (14 km) north of Exit 133 on Interstate Highway 40.
